Esteé Lauder NEW Advance Night Repair

Recently, I was lucky enough to try Esteé Lauder's new Advance Night Repair Serum before it hit store shelves or online, in an exchange for my honest review if I liked it. Their new night repair serum officially launched on 8/1 so go to Sephora and Ulta.com right now! Although, I have never tried their old formula to be able to make a decent comparison...I know that I am so in love with this serum! Sidenote: I have always wanted to try Esteé Lauder's Advance Night Repair, but I was never able to bring myself to justify this bank purchase. The price tag for this can range from $75- $200, depending on the size of the bottle. I know, I know...thats freaking expensive! But a major thing I learned as I am now in my mid-20s is that you need to invest in your skincare.
Growing up, my mom would always tell me that I should take care of my skin instead of using so much heavy makeup. I never really understood that until I was approaching 25. I started noticing that my makeup didn't look as decent as it did when I was 16 because my skin was starting to age. I used to think makeup can just hide anything and don't get me wrong... it can. But isn't it more satisfying to know you can just leave the house without any makeup on and just leave with good skin? On top of that, it is so much better to have a good base for your makeup to sit on.
With this new serum, you can use it in the AM and the PM. However, I liked using this only at night because I feel that is when my skin is going through the most repair while I sleep. I noticed that in 3 days, my skin looked more bright and I did not form any sort of new breakouts within the week of using this. Normally, if my skin hates a product, it will let me know by showing up on my face within the week! But no breakouts, so big points to that!
Lets talk about the serum itself now. It is still the same packaging- their transparent brown bottle with a dropper application. It has a patented formula that goes throughout 2033 and this serum does not contain any harsh fragrance where my face would smell like fake strawberries, which I appreciate! It has an earthy herbal sort of smell, which reminds me of when I would go to the Asian herbal stores for ginseng with my mom when I was little! Super nostalgic. Fragrance in skincare is unnecessary to me, but no hate to those that does have it because I do have some skincare that does have scent to it. It is free of sulfate, parabens, mineral oils and more! It does have hyaluronic acid, so plenty of moisture for your skin as you sleep through the night and it has plenty of antioxidants too. That probably makes sense if you can use this in the morning since antioxidants really helps to protect your skin from any environmental factors like free radicals, blue light, pollution, ozone and more! You get this jist
Overall, this night serum is worth the price tag! Remember to always invest in your skin! With the whole coronavirus going on, I am not too sure if Sephora is open or is even giving out samples anymore... but I would highly suggest getting a sample to try first before splurging since it is more on the heftier price tag. But if you want to bite the bullet, you can always order it from Sephora or Ulta to rack up your points OR you can get it directly from Esteé Lauder's website. I linked it under the photo, but you can also press here! New members can get an additional 15% off and the site offers free shipping and free returns!
